10 April 2006. Sutyajnik announced its new book The
Obligations of States Parties to the European Convention on Human Rights to
Execute Judgments of the European Court
In April 2006 NGO Sutyajnik published the book entitled The Obligations of
States Parties to the European Convention on Human Rights to Execute Judgments
of the European Court. This is the fifth volume in the series International
Human Rights Protection established by Sutyajnik in 2001.
This book concerns the following issues: obligatory character of the European
Court’s judgments for the member-states to the European Convention on Human
Rights; practice of execution of the European Court’s judgments; legal grounds
for obligatory character of the European Court’s judgments; remedial actions
taken by the governments in response to being held in violation of the
Convention; model of the effective interaction between the Russian legislation
and case-law of the European Court.
The co-authors of the book are staff-attorneys of the Urals Center for the
Constitutional and International Human Rights Protection of NGO Sutyajnik
Ludmila Churkina and Anna Demeneva.
The book is in Russian.
